Checking and replacing fuses
As you know, fuses protect against overloading the electrical system of our cars. When a component stops working, it is most likely that a circuit breaker has tripped or a fuse has blown. Therefore, the fuse responsible for the component should be checked before repair. A blown fuse will be indicated by a melted or completely ruptured tape inside the fuse.
Remember this before replacing the fuse!
- remove the ignition key
- check that everything has been switched off
- always replace fuses with the same amperage.
Passenger compartment
The fuse panel is located under and outside the steering column behind the access cover.

Power Distribution Box – Bottom
The fuses are located on the bottom of the fuse box.
To gain access, proceed as follows:
1. Release the two latches located on both sides of the fuse box;
2. Lift the rear side of the fuse box off the cradle;
3. Slide the fuse box toward the rear of the engine compartment and rotate as shown;
4. Rotate the rear side of the fuse box to access the lower side;
5. Release the two latches to open the cover.
