Tolls in Belgium are charged for driving through the Liefkenshoek tunnel and on motorways for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes. Motorhomes and buses are exempt from motorway tolls.

General information about road tolls in Belgium

The 1.4 km long Liefkenshoek Tunnel, located in the north-west of Antwerp (part of the R2 ring road), is the only toll road section in Belgium for vehicles with a GVW of up to 3.5 tonnes. Other roads in the country are free of additional tolls and do not need to buy vignettes.

Road charges for campers in Belgium

Campers are exempt from paying road tolls in Belgium, regardless of their GVM. However, in the case of the Lifkenshuk Tunnel, campers over 3 meters high are subject to a higher fee.

From 22:00, vehicles over 3m are charged the same as vehicles under 3m.

The commission can be paid by cash, credit card or bank card (Maestro). Frequent travelers may benefit from the Teletol system, which uses electronic toll collection.
