In the following entry we present diagrams and locations of fuse boxes and relays for Volkswagen Amarok from the years: 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016. Volkswagen Amarok is a mid-size pickup truck produced by the German brand Volkswagen in the years 2009-2016.
Checking and replacing fusesAs you know, fuses protect against overloading the electrical system of our cars. When one of the components stops working, most likely the circuit breaker has tripped or the fuse has blown. Therefore, before repairing, you should check the fuse responsible for the given element. A blown fuse will be indicated by a melted or completely broken tape inside the fuse.
Remember this before replacing the fuse!
- remove the key from the ignition
- check if everything has been turned off
- always replace fuses with the same amperage.

Engine compartment
High-capacity fuses in the form of fuse links (SA) are located under the cover on the battery. It is connected to the positive battery terminal cable. Nearby is the fuse box (SB), protected from water by a special cap.

Passenger compartment
Fuse box
It is located under the dashboard on the driver’s side. To access the fuses, you need to release the locking lever. The fuse box can then be folded down.

Fuse box (models from 2013)
Since July 2013, a new 68-socket SC fuse box has been installed in Volkswagen Amarok cars (under the dashboard on the driver’s side). It differs from the old 72-socket block primarily visually in that the vertical rows of smaller fuses (MINI, 8 pieces in a row) alternate with rows of larger fuses (ATO, 9 pieces in a row).
In the old 72-socket block, there were first 4 rows of MINI fuses, then 4 rows of ATO fuses, 9 pieces in all rows.

Relay box
It is located on a bracket on the driver’s side under the dashboard. The relay box bracket is completely hidden behind the dashboard. The SC fuse box is also attached to the same bracket. There may also be an on-board power control unit integrated into the relay/fuse box bracket (SC) itself.
