I decided to replace the fuel filter in the Hyundai Santa Fe. On our cars it is located in the tank.
To replace it, you need to remove the left half of the rear seat. There are 5 bolts with a wrench for 14.
Under it, we cut a hole in the carpet according to the markings (there are ready-made slots) for the gas tank hatch. My carpet was not cut, so no one has climbed there for 209 thousand km.
We remove the gas tank hatch, it is glued to the floor of the body with a sticky sealant in the form of resin.

Under it is the very neck of the gas tank.
Cleaned of dirt and dust, I washed with water and wiped with a rag.
Disconnected the power connector of the gas pump and fuel level sensor.
Removed the fuel line connector.

I removed the connector and cleaned it from dust and dirt.
The difficulty was unscrewing the filler neck nut. It wouldn’t come off by hand; you need a special wrench. But I didn’t have one. So, I used an oil filter puller.
To do this, I bent the tabs slightly so they would fit onto the nut. When unscrewing, the tabs compress and can damage the nut, so I jammed the tab compression mechanism with a metal plate.

I unscrewed the nut and removed the fuel filter.
I disassembled the fuel filter and replaced the filter and the fuel pump screen. All the valves are located intuitively there.
I put everything back together. During assembly, I treated all the rubber seals with silicone so that they would not be distorted during assembly.
