The first generation BMW X5 E53 went into production in 1999. This car was produced in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. We will present the diagrams of the relay blocks and fuses of the BMW E53 with a description, as well as the translation of errors from the instrument panel into Russian and a complete operating manual.

The purpose of fuses and relays may differ from the one shown. Check the current purpose of the elements in the blocks with your diagrams in the specifications (brochures).
Main fuse box in the passenger compartment bmw e53
In the passenger compartment, the main fuse box and relay are located in the glove compartment behind a protective cover. To access it, you need to open the glove compartment.

Next, press the 2 clips securing the rear plastic cover (left and right).

A block like this will appear, where all the fuses are located in 2 rows. The third horizontal row is spare elements.

The cover usually contains fuse tweezers and a brochure with the designation.

Block under the hood
It is located under the hood, on the right side, in the mounting block, behind the protective cover.

Individual relay elements are located in the mounting block, under the hood (horn relay, glow plugs, fuel pump relay, headlight washer relay, etc.). Depending on the configuration, fuses may be located there.

The block is in the trunk near the battery
Another high-power fuse block may be attached to the positive terminal of the battery.
