Sentinel Island is located near densely populated India. But this is only formally, because the Indians themselves, like the rest of the Earth’s population, do not have access to it. On this picturesque tropical island lives a people cut off from civilization – the Sentinelese. They live according to their usual magical customs, light fires and conduct rituals. This people has no connection with the outside world, and they are very aggressive to all guests.

Funny people

All researchers who managed to reach the shores of the island by sea or by helicopter claim that there are from 50 to 450 Sentinelese living on Sentinel Island. They all wear funny red bandages on the lower part of the body. Each has a color on their face, which changes according to the age of each aborigine or his status. Outwardly, they look like standard Indians – their height reaches up to 155 centimeters, they have firm facial features and dark eyes. The hair of the Sentinelese is thick and black, often wavy or even curly. The physique of all is usually thin, sometimes excessively thin.

If guests come to the Sentinelese, they arm themselves with spears and arrows with poisonous poison on the tips or with fire. The Sentinelese carefully protect their territory from uninvited guests, no one should disturb the peace of the small island.

What do the Sentinelese do?

The main activity of the Sentinelese resembles primitive – they get their food by hunting and fishing, women and children collect forage in the form of fruits, berries and vegetables. Based on international research, the aborigines do not engage in gardening and vegetable growing. They prefer to get everything at once so as not to waste time on progressive activities.

Sentinel Island first appeared in official documents in the 1770s. Scientists believe that this people has lived on the island for over 50,000 years.

Once a ship of Indian sailors stopped off the coast of Sentinel to rest and fix the troubles with the ship. Hostile aborigines thought that the ships were enemies. They attacked them, some even received fatal injuries. After that, Sentinel Island received the nickname – “the last refuge of Satan.”

The last time humanity contacted the Sentinelese was in 2004 to send them humanitarian aid. The aborigines fired on the volunteers, and the Sentinelese have not seen any visitors since that day.

A godforsaken island where aborigines still live. This island is dangerous for both tourists and billionaires.
