Ibiza International Airport is located on the Spanish island of the same name in the Mediterranean Sea, seven kilometres from the local capital, Ibiza City. The airport also serves the island of Formentera, a few kilometres away, which is connected to Ibiza by ferry.

With only one terminal in operation, Ibiza is one of the twenty busiest passenger airports in the country. Many low-cost airlines such as EasyJet, Eurowings, Jet2.com, Ryanair and Wizz Air operate regular flights to the island of Ibiza, which is considered a trendy European resort.
There are car hire companies, catering facilities, shops, currency exchange, a pharmacy and playgrounds for children. In addition, everyone can connect to free Wi-Fi via the “Airport Free Wifi Aena” network. If you need to withdraw cash, there are two ATMs in the Arrivals Hall.
According to the International Air Transport Association classification, Ibiza Airport has been assigned the code “IBZ”.
The official website for the airport is https://www.aena.es/en/ibiza.html.

From the airport to Ibiza, San Antonio and Santa Eulalia
Given the modest size of the island, local public transport is fairly well developed, but only buses are available. These are the buses you should use when planning your itinerary
To get from the airport to the capital of Ibiza Island, take bus 10, which runs every half hour. The stop is at the very end of the terminal, to the right of the exit. The first bus leaves at 7am and the last bus at midnight. The fare is 3.50 euros and tickets can be bought from the driver. The final stop in the city is the CETIS bus station. The journey will take an average of 30 minutes. A similar journey by taxi will cost 15 euros.

If you need to get to San Antonio Abad, you will need bus number 9, which stops near the airport terminal. This route is relevant at the height of the tourist season – from June to October. Buses leave every hour from 7am to 11pm. You can buy a ticket from the driver for 4 euros. The final stop is the bus station in the city. The journey time is 45 minutes. Taxi services will cost at least 30 euros.
Another bus, the 24, connects Ibiza Airport with Santa Eulalia del Rio. After unloading passengers at the bus station, it continues on to Cala Nova beach. This is a seasonal route, operating from May to October. The bus stop is located near the terminal. Transport runs every 30 minutes from 8am to 11pm. The fare is 4 euros. You can buy a ticket from the bus driver. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Taxis will take you to your destination for 40 euros or more.
From the airport to the island of Formentera
If you want to get to Formentera from Ibiza Airport, you should buy a ticket for the 10 bus for €3.50 and take it to the port of Ibiza, the penultimate stop on the route. The next mode of transport is the ferry, as Ibiza and Formentera are separated by a 20 kilometre strait. It should be noted that taxis can be an alternative to buses, with services starting from 15 euros.

The ferry is operated by three companies: Trasmapi, Mediterranea Pitiusa and Balearia. The intensity of traffic is so high that there is no point in adjusting to the schedule. In terms of time, the crossing takes 35 minutes. The ferries usually leave every half an hour, mainly between 7am and 9pm. The fare for adults is the same everywhere – 26.50 euros one way and 45.50 euros including return journey.
