Checking and replacing fuses
Fuses operate before the entire wiring harness is damaged. If any of the electrical components do not work, a fuse may be blown. In this case, check the fuses and replace them if necessary.
- Turn off the engine (using the intelligent key system – turn off the “ENGINE START STOP” switch) and turn off all electrical accessories.
- Open the fuse box cover.
- See the diagrams below to see which fuse to check.
- Remove the fuse.
- Check to see if the fuse is blown – if the thin wire inside is broken, the fuse is blown.
- Replace the blown fuse with a new fuse of the correct rating.
Notification
- Never use a fuse with a higher amperage than specified, or use any other object instead of a fuse, even as a temporary measure. This may cause serious damage or even a fire.
- Always use genuine Toyota fuses or equivalent.
- Do not modify fuses or fuse boxes.
- If the replaced fuse blows again, have it inspected by an authorized Toyota dealer or repairer or another qualified and equipped person.

Cabin Fuse Box Diagram
The fuse panel is located behind the storage compartment on the driver’s side of the instrument panel. Open the auxiliary box. Lift the box and release the claws. Remove the stoppers from the cutouts and remove the box.
