Volkswagen Golf 4 generation belongs to compact class cars. It was produced in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 with hatchback, station wagon, convertible bodies. In this publication we will present a description of the diagrams of fuse blocks and relays of the Volkswagen Golf 4 with a photo – an example, and also offer complete wiring diagrams for download. We will separately note the cigarette lighter fuse.

There may be differences in the presented material and your location. Check the actual purpose with the description on the protective cover. If you own a different generation of car, study the description for the 3rd and 5th generation respectively.

Blocks under the hood

Relay block

An additional relay unit is located under the hood on the bulkhead.

There may be relays there: switching on the secondary air pump or spark plugs. The turn signal and hazard warning relays are built into the hazard warning switch itself. And the cooling system electric fan control unit is installed on the left side member under the battery.

Block on the battery cover

It is located on the battery cover itself.

Consists of a department of fuses and high-power fuse links.
