The Volkswagen Passat B6 is the sixth generation of this popular family car and was produced from 2005 to 2010. Available as a sedan and station wagon, this model offered a wide range of gasoline and diesel engines. It is essential for every owner to know the location and function of the fuses and relays in the Passat B6’s electrical system, as these protect the vehicle’s electrical components from overload and short circuits.
The Passat B6’s on-board electronics consist of several blocks containing fuses and relays. Knowing their location and functional diagrams allows for quick diagnosis and repair of malfunctions such as defective headlights, electric windows, or – as is so often the case – the cigarette lighter.

In this configuration, fuse number 41 (20 A) is responsible for the cigarette lighter. Fuse number 42 (15 A) is responsible for additional sockets.

It is located at the right end of the dashboard, just like the left one, and is covered with a protective cover.
