Tolls are charged on some sections of the A1 motorway , particularly in the Sarajevo area south of Mostar, and on the northern border with Croatia around Modrići (in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina). In addition, tolls are charged on the E661 road between Banja Luka and Hradiška and the Autoput 9. Januar highway connecting Banja Luka with Doboj (in Republika Srpska).

How to pay for motorways in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Cash/Debit Card/Credit Card
At all toll stations, you can pay in cash in convertible marks (Bosnian marks – BAM) or in euros (coins are not possible). Most popular credit cards and bank cards with the Maestro symbol are also often accepted.
Electronic payment
In part of the country, in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, tolls on the A1 motorway can be paid electronically using the ACC transmitter in the prepaid system. The transponder offers approximately 20% off, is rechargeable, and lasts indefinitely. It can be purchased at all toll stations and registered to the corresponding vehicle number.
In some parts of the Republika Srpska, tolls on the motorways around Banja Luka can be paid electronically using an ENP transmitter. It is available at Yakupovtsi, Prniavor and Kladari toll stations.
